My friend, Corianne has agreed to help keep us updated with what is available to help citizens during this time.  Here is a list of links that have been put together for us so far:

Right now, with so many people out of work, it's extremely important for people to know about the new Family First Coronavirus Response Act (H.R. 6201).  This will go into effect on April 1st. More information in the link above. 


The following information is for those out of work.  This includes unemployment, medicare, and SNAP benefits. 


We understand that each family has been impacted differently by this pandemic.  In order to help ease some of the burden and stress, we have compiled a list of resources for your family.

Louisiana Food Stamp Office   (there is currently no emergency disaster food stamp assistance.  However, if your family member has recently become unemployed, you are encouraged to apply for regular assistance)

A few other things to consider:  


During this pandemic, many loan providers are providing assistance through loan extensions. Please contact your mortgage company, car loan providers, and creditors for more information and before you default on payments.

Corianne Green, SHRM-SCP, is a Human Resource Executive with more than 15 years of experience. Her passion is providing HR solutions to her team by helping them build their HR infrastructure through technology, compliance, and people. Prior to working with Thomas Pump & Machinery, Inc., Corianne held many HR roles in both the private and public sections including Fire, Police, and Municipal.

Corianne Green holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of New Orleans. She is also certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SHRM-SCP). Corianne is an active member in many prominent HR organizations including the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and Northshore Society for Human Resource Management (NSHRM). Her volunteer roles include: President, Past President, Membership Director, Forum Committee Member, and currently Programming Director.

Corianne enjoys spending time with her family, reading and listening to music. She is married with two children, Lucas (16) and Alyssa (8). Corianne also enjoys mentoring up-and-coming HR professionals where she shares her knowledge and passion for HR.
